A Sweet November Weekend in Pictures

One Month Until Boxing Day

OY!! What a way to start the thought process!! LOL!! :) One month today and Christmas will be over WOW!! I really had hoped to have gotten some shopping done by now ... yeah yeah for those who know me not likely going to happen. I know I know. I HATE shopping.
I can't believe what a beautiful day it was today .. the sun was shining - birds singing - balmy weather ...LOL.. that's a funny word. Peter finished hanging all of the Christmas lights today (yes I have pictures) and they are beautiful. Frosty is hanging on the front door and again all is well in the world. I must admit that I did little or nothing today but scrap, I'm working on a calendar for Sherri (IRL Friend) to give out as Christmas gifts so I did a bunch of that today! Great fun.
I also TORTURED the poor woman at OSCRAPS for the better part of the day as well. I seriously can't wait to find out if I made it on their Creative Team!! I desperately want to be a CHEERY-O!! :) Not big announcement until tomorrow though .. so let the torture continue!!
Danielle has her RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) Grade One Ballet Exam tomorrow morning. I'm so excited for her - she's a little nervous but not too bad. I'm going to post this quick and then work on a post full of pictures from today and the weekend. I haven't scrapped them yet but they are definitely worth of showing!!

At the end of the day all that really matters is that we are still alive and breathing ... and somedays even that's alot to ask for. WOW! It's been a long day. I'm tired and grumpy, the kids have been stressy today, whiny, attitude you name it it's been there. :) So I'm unfortunately not feeling all too inspired to post a big long post ... where this morning if time would have allowed I would have posted a ton. But alas life gets in the way ... and you are left to look at pictures!! LOL!

Sunday Morning Ramblings

I don't think I will ever manage to be a daily blog updater LOL!! But I sure am trying!! I've been having a pissy type of a week actually ... just my turn in the big scheme of things to have a slight neurotic break. There hasn't been one significant incident that pushed me over the edge into insanity more like a compilation of little things and because I'm not a great talker from time to time about what's REALLY bothering me it eventually just all adds up and I spiral into a downward pit of blackness for a couple of days. The light is starting to return to the darkness today so ... the end is near ;)

Now that all of that junk is out of the way ... let's take a look at what I downloaded last night to play with for the next little while shall we??? :) I am on the Creative Team for Scrapper's Daily Dose and we received the links from our Decemeber sponsors last night :) Which means I have 5 new kits to work with ... something that ALWAYS makes me happy. ;)

In the wee hours of Wednesday morn'

In the wee hours of Wednesday morn' when all the world is still asleep (which of course is also where I should be) here I sit faithful updating my little bloggie!! I will update quickly before heading off to bed and then hopefully again in the brighter morning hours of this day!! :)

Today (now meaning yesterday as in Tuesday) was a good day. MInus Olivia throwing up at the diner at breakfast ... not sure what that was all about but she seems to be fine now. Had coffee and play time with Sherri and Josha ... lunch with Peter and the little girlies. ;) Spent the afternoon replying to emails, laundry, smoke detector going off **burnt toast**, went to hang out at the studio .... watched some cutie booty dancers ... still have the stinking Highschool musical song in my head. Came home, email more ... picked Peter up from a meeting ... blah blah blah. It's all good. Boring but good. :)

I really should be planning my fundraising meeting for tomorrow night ... but NA ... I'll just WING it!! HA HA HA!!

Monday Monday Monday Monday!!

OY! I was hoping to make it through my first week of blogging without missing a day!! LMAO!! Yeah NO that didn't happen. So here I am to start anew this week.

Here is a new layout I did last night for a mini-album I'm putting together for a couple of mom's in Danielle's dance group. They were over a couple of weeks ago for a play while the Momma's had a meeting. ;) Lacey being the absolute ANGEL she is took them ALL to the park (minus Mya) so 7 of them. Like I said she's an angel. While they were at the park .. she took 114 pictures of them playing OY OY OY!!! Problem is they are incredible pictures so I have NO choice but to scrap them. The kit I used here is Jeni Cantrill's FLY BOY kit at Oscraps ... truly an incredible package of papers, embellishments and an alpha to boot. At first I didn't think I was going to be able to do alot with the kit due to the fact that it is so BOY!! ;) But I have managed to pull 3 delicious layouts out of it.

Question of the day: Why is it that one light bulb burns out many other's seem to follow??

A new house!!

Catherine was so kind to point out to me this morning when I sent her an email about this little bloggie ... that she didn't even know that we had moved! OY!! Like I said in that email .. busy and lazy are my only excuses for not filling everyone in on the details of our day to day life.
Moving day was June 28th - the last day of school, it was a long hot day 12 hours - one full transport truck and then it was done. OY OY OY!! Good thing we only moved 4 blocks **rolling eyes here** We are now living in a semi - attached to my mom ;) It totally rocks, 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 1/2 bath on the main floor, fully funished basement, fenced backyard, huge fantastic awesome open space concept kitchen. I am in love with our new house, we all are actually, well except for Olivia - but she's a piece of work anyways so she doesn't count. LOL!!

I will have to get some decent pictures of the house ... lol .. when it's clean to post here.

When did you start scrapping, why and who/what do you scrap?

I have only been scrapping since – May 2006 – so 6 months and I’m totally and completely addicted. Before May I had never ever scrapped a thing …. Not digitally or on paper. I despise paper LOL – makes me INSANE – my husband has a bit of a paper obsession and it drives me loopy. So for me digi is the way to go – I also LOVE to learn new stuff on the computer … which is my other addiction J The reason I started scrapping was to save some of the memories of my girls childhoods, I am a terrible baby book person **guilt ridden about this too** - so if I can do nothing else at least I can try to capture some of the everyday silly moments – the special moments – the not so special moments and preserve them for the girls. Family is a HUGE deal to me – because basically mine was MESSED up as a kid … so I want desperately to give my girls something more than I was given.
I scrap my girls 99% of the time, every once in a while you may get a layout of me (although I despise having my picture taken) , the odd one about Peter, and the occasional flower cause well sometimes they are so pretty that I just have to take the picture ;)

What do you consider the most fun thing you have ever done?

Hmmm that would be a toss up between going to Rome in August of 2000 for World Youth Day or Barbados for my honeymoon. I’m not much of a risk taker – I like to travel a bit but would prefer to do it with the kids than without. I guess that’s not really the answer you might have been looking for but I don’t know what else to say.

Do you collect anything? If not, what would you like to collect?

I collect kids -- I LOVE coffee mugs!! I have shelves of them, some are my favourites that only I can use and other’s I will share. Yes I am possessive about my favourites!!

Tell us a little about you and your family? married? kids? work? etc

A little about myself … hmmm … well there is definitely nothing little about me ;) I’m a chubby little 5’0 nothing type of gal with a huge sense of humor – known for my erratic mood changes – and insane laughter. I am married to my soul mate – and well if he’s not he’s stuck with me cause I’ll hunt him down if he ever tries to leave me J We have 4 beautiful daughters – two of which I had before I married Peter. Lacey is 13, Danielle is 8, Olivia is 3 and Mya is 8.5 months. They are the objects of our affection, the apples of our eyes, the seeds to our watermelon … ok so yeah you get the point that they mean a ton to us. Everything we do is for them. The 2 big girls are competitive dancers – jazz, ballet, musical theatre – also dancing recreationally in hip hop as well. Olivia is going to be starting dance in September – look out SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE 2025 cause she’s coming for you. LOL!! When they aren’t dancing they can be found running amuck on a soccer field somewhere here in Stratford. Peter is a soccer fanatic … so the girls are all dragged to many a soccer game in all types of weather … mind you Daddy loves taking his girls cause he always has the biggest and the loudest cheering section.
Work for me right now is at home with the kids – I am currently on a year’s maternity leave – hence the reason I am online 24/7 but when I’m not at home playing mommy – I work for my Mommy at her diner and well basically have for the past 20 years on and off minus a few disagreements etc. J I love working with my Mom she’s an awesome chicka – so awesome that in June we moved into the house right next door to her … we are just on the other side of the wall now.
I suppose you may be interested to know that we live in Stratford Ontario Canada - the home of the Stratford Shakespearean Theatre!!What else??? Hmmm …. I’m a coffee addict – Diet Coke Addict – digi addict and well basically an all around nutcase

Username and why?
MYOLDANLAC = Mya Olivia Danielle Lacey – which are the names of my 4 girls. Before Mya was born my “gaming” user name was OLDANLAC – when I started to scrap and visit these sites I changed it to Myoldanlac because I just simply couldn’t leave Mya out. Here’s the real question though … why didn’t I just use my Mommy Board user name??? I have NO idea!! Lol … just a bit of a change I guess ;) On my Mommy board I’m known as ICQMommy – but we won’t go into the details behind that name. :)

So ... this is me ... Krista ... trying to take a picture of myself so I can show off my new hair cut. Not a great picture ... I always have this scared / dazed look on my face when I take pictures of myself ... but such is life!! :)

A bit about me .. I'm a 34 year old SAHM (for now) of 4 darling beautiful spirited daughters. I am married to a wonderful man, Peter, who is my best friend and partner in everything. He is truly a blessing and honestly the most patient man alive ... seeing as he lives with 5 females. OY!!
